MOVEMENT IN THE TUI ROOM!

Carrying on from the childrens interest in Movement (and the completion of the yellow bus!!) the children were very keen to make some cars!!  They painted them, cut out the bottom, attached string to hold on to them and made steering wheels.   It is great to see the childrens interest in Movement and finding out how all sorts of things move!!

CHAPTER 2 -THE TUIS' YELLOW BUS!

The children finished painting the yellow bus!! They cut the bottom out, painted in some wheels and made a steering wheel. They then cut out holes in the sides to tie some string so they could hold on to it.   All aboard Tuis!!  Helen and Lillian were very happy with the finished 'bus'!!

On Wednesday Saira-Jane and Mel made scones with the children. They could choose between cheese or sultana.  They carefully measured all the ingredients and made their own!  They really enjoy their baking (and eating) of the things they make!! Well done guys!

HAIRY HARRY'S HAIRCUT!

The 'Hairy Harrys' in the Pukeko Room are still producing masses of thick lush 'hair'!!  The children have had to cut their Harrys a couple of times now. Some cut very carefully to give them a beautifully manicured look!!

THE PUKEKOS FASHION PARADE

On Tuesday night the Pukekos performed their catwalk extravaganza in front of their families!  They had practiced their routines and dressed up in their costumes they had helped make. Their families brought a plate of food for a shared cultural dinner. It was a huge success and the children enjoyed the experience!!  Well done Pukekos!
