MAKING A VOLCANO!

The children made a volcano in the sandpit. Then they mixed vinegar and baking soda together in the 'crater' and watched it 'erupt'!! (photos attached)

FISH AND CHIP NIGHT (FRIDAY, 27TH OF JULY)

FANCY DRESS UP DAY

On Friday, 24th of July, we had our Fancy Dress Up day at Pupuke. Everyone made a great job of dressing up even the teaachers!! We had princesses, a ballerina, supermangirl!, a ladybird, spiderman, a doggy, Cat in the Hat, Sleeping Beauty, a cowgirl and bumble bee! The children had their faces painted and had a great day! OUR WEEK 20.07-24.07.09

FINGER PAINTING FUN!

In the Pukeko Room we started off with a table full of cornflour fingerpaint. The next thing we knew we were painting the window with it and writing our names and making patterns! Luckily it washed off easily. (Photos attached)

MAKING HAIRY HARRYS

This week in the Pukeko room we make 'Hairy Harrys'! We first put our name on the bottom of a yoghurt container, then we cut some pantyhose to fit over another container. We then filled it with potting mix and grass seed and tied the bottom off. We put it into our yoghurt container and will keep it moist and watch and wait for 'Harry's hair to grow!!

FANCY DRESS UP DAY & FISH & CHIP NIGHT!

Just a reminder to everybody for Friday, 24th of July, it is Fancy Dress up day so come dressed as your favourite character. From 5.30pm onwards we are having a 'Fish & Chip' (bring your own please) dinner to celebrate the end of our Light Exploration programme. We are providing drinks and Tomato sauce!! OUR NEW CAR/TAXI/TRUCK/BUS!!!

This week we have got a new toy in the Pukeko Room! It is this fantastic steering wheel!! It can be whatever we want it to be! Much fun has been had on it. Have a look at the photos.
