OUR OFFICIAL OPENING WITH MAYOR ANDREW WILLIAMS

On Tuesday, 6th of October, we had our official ribbon cutting grand opening ceremony!  The Mayor, Andrew Williams came with his special ribbon cutting scissors!  Carol and Shona gave  lovely speeches followed by the Mayor.  Kellie had been given a very special job of holding the scissors  in their wooden box.  The Mayor then took them out and along with the children cut the red ribbon which was between the Tui and Pukeko Rooms.  Seventy balloons were then released symbolising the 70 children we are licensed for. Dominic, one of our Pukekos, then thanked everyone for coming. Well done Dominic!
Cookie had done some beautiful nibbles and the cake was then cut by Carol and Shona.
It was a lovely ceremony with some of our parents, neighbours and other special people coming!
Thank you to everyone who attended.
