Dear Parents/Caregivers

We have been invited to attend Takapuna Primary School’s school show “The Adventures of Hiwi the Kiwi” on Tuesday 29th June from 1.30 – 2.30pm. Evidently it is very interactive and has some really neat messages about sustainability which just happens to correspond with the project work that we are doing in the Pukeko Room at the moment using Recycling materials.
The Principal of the school has also invited us to have a play on their playground for 15-20 minutes before the show starts, so although the show starts at 1.30pm, we will be leaving the centre at 12.50pm, and will return by 3.00pm.
We will only be going if the weather is nice enough for us to be able to walk to and from as a whole group because it is a free show and we don’t want to have to charge you for transport. In order for this to be possible though, we require two parent helpers as our teacher/child ratio is 1:4.
For your information this is how we are planning to schedule the afternoon.
Depart Pupuke on foot - 12.50pm
Arrive at Takapuna Primary School - 1.05pm
Play on the playground - 1.05pm – 1.20pm
Toilet children, then settle into hall - 1.20pm
Watch show - 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Leave Takapuna Primary School on foot - 2.30pm
Return to Pupuke - 2.45pm / 3.00pm
